The Hague: World Foresight Forum - 1st edition - April 13, 2011
From April 13 to April 15, the first edition of the World Foresight Forum, took place in The Hague as a unique international event also promoted by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Municipality of the Hague.
The European House - Ambrosetti was responsible for the program of its two main events: the Summit and the Convention.
About 90 speakers and over 300 participants met along the elegant and exclusive Lange Voorhout in order to discuss on the main issues related to the security of our homelands, such as the financial crisis, climate change, globalization, terrorism, the new balances in the Mediterranean area, the energy resources, etc..
The topics were addressed from different points of view in order to build the “Roadmap for a shared future”.
Plenary sessions and parallel seminars alternated during the 3 days, with the common characteristic of an active participation of the audience, that led to lively debates, also thank you to an innovative format and an informal atmosphere.
Great importance had the involvement of the new generation, represented by the most brilliant young members of several associations, such as the Kairos Society, Young The Hague and The European House - Ambrosetti Leaders of the Future, who had an active role during some seminars.
