| November - SAN MARINO FORUM 2009 "INNOVATION & COMPETITIVENESS FOR THE FUTURE". FINAL REPORT 2009 |
The highly-unsettled context marked by major change over 2009 has made reflection on the role of San Marino even more relevant and a useful contribution to discussion over the approach to the future role of the Republic of San Marino. During this third year of work, the commitment of the San Marino Advisory Board has focused primarily on three areas of study: governance of economic activity, tourism and finance. Examination of the health, education and welfare system, together with the work of the first two years, completed analysis of the current country system. As already highlighted in the previous reports (2007 and 2008), the Republic of San Marino is faced with having to make courageous choices on all levels (economic, political and social). Within this context, defining an approach to the future is of highest priority, together with the identification and launching of strategic projects for the country's growth. info |

| November - MERIDIANO SANITA'. LE COORDINATE DELLA SALUTE. FINAL REPORT 2009 |
Federalism, innovation and sustainability are the three topics covered by the fourth Meridiano Sanità Report 2009. The topics of regional devolution and the advent of fiscal federalism give rise to serious discussions about the real possibility of guaranteeing the principle of universal service ensuring that all citizens have the right to receive the best available care and that there is equality of treatment for all. Confirmation of this geographical disparity is also to be found when looking at access to prevention and innovation in the different regions. info |

| June - UNLEASHING AFRICAN AND EUROPEAN ENERGY |
|
The opportunities between Europe and Africa are enormous. Africa is tensed for development and in search of active partners and collaborators. The problems are still too complex and wide-ranging to be approached (solely) through government-based and planned approaches. What is needed are thousands of individual “motors” to generate energy.
Presentation by Marina Mira d'Ercole, The European House- Ambrosetti - Project Leader of the Fondazione Banco di Sicilia Project: “African development: an opportunity for Europe, Italy and Sicily” at the Ministry of Economic Development Round Table “Italy & Africa partners in Business”, Rome 25-26 June 2009. |

| May - FLEXIBILITY, SPEED, INNOVATION, HUMAN RESOURCES: 4 KEY WORDS FOR BRESCIA'S INDUSTRIES |
|
After rapidly analyzing the "whys and wherefores" of the crisis, the Brescia companies began asking themselves a fundamental question: "how" to equip themselves to compete in the post-crisis world, irrespective - or almost so - of when the upturn may actually come about.
Against this backdrop, the presentation of Valerio De Molli identified and developed the four key points on which to base the revival of Brescia's industry, in addition to providing an overview of the main causes and the potential future scenarios generated by the financial crisis.

"The fashion industry during difficult times: what to throw, what to keep and where to innovate?". The fashion industry is having to face structural changes which inevitably involve implications for all players in the supply chain. For some time now, a relentless process of disintermediation has led the end-consumer to be the true “driver” of all strategies, with the consequent redefinition of the supply system and level of service. Presentation by Flavio Sciuccati at the conference entitled “La multicanalità nell'industria del fashion: brand a confronto” organized by CampusDellaModa, Carpi - April 3, 2009. |
