Which European countries have succeeded in responding to the economic crisis by maintaining high labor force competitiveness while at the same time minimizing the negative effects of employment standards?
This study is focused on a series of topics that include decentralized collective bargaining in Germany; the main aspects of the flexicurity model with regard to Denmark, and apprenticeship and employability of European youth. Also analyzed are the measures adopted by the British and Italian governments to create an entrepreneurial environment favorable to the creation of technological, innovative start-ups and those adopted by the European Union to relaunch youth employment (“Youth Guarantee”).
