The European House – Ambrosetti established a high level multi-stakeholder community in 2019 to deal with the management of the world’s water resources as a driver of competitiveness and industrial development, with the goal of elaborating proposals for the government and national economy.
The water resource is a scarce and strategic resource. The demographic evolution, the increasing urbanization and climate change are contributing factors to subject water resources to unprecedented stress, in the world, in Europe and in Italy. Already today 25% of the world’s population is in a state of stress water.
Today more than ever, an efficient and sustainable water supply chain is a matter of ” system”, with repercussions on the development of the country and the daily lives of citizens and companies, also in light of the emerging risk of conflict between environmental protection and guarantee of water supply.
For these reasons, The European House – Ambrosetti established a high level multi-stakeholder community in 2019 to deal with the management of the world’s water resources as a driver of competitiveness and industrial development, with the goal of elaborating proposals for the government and national economy.
