During the second Italian-French Dialogue for Europe a paper entitled “Nutrition and Sustainability. Changes and Challenges in the Years to Come” was presented. A solid partnership between Italy and France could make a significant contribution to sustainable development. The two countries, with their well-established food cultures, could be ambassadors for the benefits of the Mediterranean diet throughout the world and promoters of debate on the benefits associated with healthy and sustainable eating habits, including in the relevant European venues.
