Cashless Society – Report 2017

In 2016, The European House – Ambrosetti has started the second year of activity of the Cashless Society Community, a high-level platform aimed at fostering the electronic payments diffusion in Italy.

The analysis and proposals were presented in a final Round Table on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 from 02:30 p.m. to 05:30 p.m. (the day before our annual Worskhop “The Outlook for the Economy and Finance”), at Villa d’Este in Cernobbio.
The event offered the chance of debate among the business community and the Institutions, in the spirit of team working and with the goal to develop actions for the benefit of the Country. During the meeting, we presented the Final Report of the Community and discussed some guidelines and proposals to fill the gap of Italy on electronic payments. We also presented the Blue Print for a pilot-project promoted by the Community in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, aimed at incentivizing a “cashless approach” among citizens and tourists at a local level.
