Portugal has gone from a modest economic performance (2002-2008) to a very severe crisis (2008-2014), to robust economic growth (2014- today).
The country is today recognized as a case of success at a global level. Portuguese economic performance is today better than Italian one from several standpoints.
Therefore, the analysis of Portugal reaction to 2008 crisis could be of some interest for Italian decision makers, especially considering the several similarities at structural level between the two economies.
