The Reform of the Judiciary and the Fight against Corruption

Reforming the justice system and fighting corruption are two of the main levers for the entire country and its economy to become competitive once again and it is one of the most urgent reform processes for Italy.

This was one of the main themes discussed during the 41st edition of the Forum “Intelligence on the World, Europe, and Italy” and examined in a study undertaken by the Ambrosetti Club in collaboration with the Studio BonelliErede law firm.

The goals of the study were to:

  • Analyze from a comparative standpoint the constraints on Italy’s development deriving from the inefficiencies in the justice system and the negative effects of corruption;
  • Formulate proposals that are concise, effective and implementable in the short-term to overcome the inefficiencies and contribute to relaunching the country’s economic development;
  • Raise the awareness of political decision-makers by demonstrating that measures which are immediately implementable and effective for business do exist.

These proposals were presented during the 41st edition of the Forum “Intelligence on the World, Europe, and Italy”.
