A systemic project for the competitiveness of the Italian logistics supply chain.
The efficiency of the logistics system is one of the keys to competitiveness of modern economies. Italy has bottlenecks and structural problems that penalize this sector and the country as a whole. To improve this situation —in addition to upgrading infrastructure— a fundamental contribution could be made through the application of flexible and integratable telematic instruments to improve flow planning, running and management.
Within this context, an initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is taking shape. It is being developed by UIRNet as the sole implementer and, in the short-term, will result in the creation of the primary telematic system for managing the national logistics network (Piattaforma Logistica Nazionale – National Logistics Platform).
