BUILDING AN EXCLUSIVE INFLUENTIAL COMMUNITY OF LEADERS

The seventh edition of the Dialogue (Johannesburg, November 26-27, 2020) took place despite the major disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in a physical and digital format to allow a broader – and safer – participation.

Despite all the suffering, the Covid-19 pandemic provides a painful, yet powerful window of opportunity to accelerate the future towards a more sustainable and inclusive world, built on fair and mutually beneficial economic and political partnerships. To accelerate the post-pandemic recovery, Southern Africa and Europe need to deepen their partnership, building high level relations between key decision makers from the two continents.

The Southern Africa Europe CEO Dialogue is
the only permanent platform
for high level business engagement
between the leaders of the two continents.

The Summit gathers once a year in South Africa, but the Think Tanks works year-round with an international Advisory Board to identify business opportunities and promising value chains.

The Summit is also built around the Ambrosetti CEO Community – African Chapter, an exclusive circle of Southern African and European business leaders aiming at promoting closed-door interaction and network building among its members and prominent guests.

Where we come from

Built on the previous bilateral South Africa-Italy Summit, the “Southern Africa Europe CEO Dialogue” offers an exclusive platform of content and networking, capable of promoting the long-term growth of strategic economic relations between Europe and Southern Africa. In addition to Italy and South Africa, the 2020 CEO Dialogue involves other member states of the EU and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The Summit in brief

Now in its seventh year, the platform created by The European House-Ambrosetti in 2014 allows top-level business and institutional leaders from both continents to share ideas, build new and strong partnerships, and learn about the enormous economic and political opportunities that exist within  Euro-African relations today, with special focus on SADC. The Summit aims at providing concrete approaches that have a direct impact for business, regarding the EU’s growing attention and commitment towards Sub-Saharan Africa.

Thanks to a Think Tank of international experts and influential advisors, the Summit will address pivotal issues for Europe and Southern Africa, taking into consideration the geopolitical, economic, and social trends that will influence the future of both continents.

The Summit is designed to provide a high-level and unique opportunity to promote networking and debate. Moreover, it is a perfect occasion to share the work and the activities of the Leaders Community formed around the Summit, which is ready to welcome new members from among prominent individuals on the Euro-African institutional and business scene.
