The first South Africa-Italy Summit, an initiative developed and promoted by The European House – Ambrosetti together with the South African partner Grown Consulting, took place in Cape Town on October 2 and 3, 2014.
The goal of the Summit is to build a selected community of business leaders to grow their companies in the two countries and continents.
Taking part in this first edition were over 100 top executives of Italian and South African companies, economists and representatives of government who discussed the strategic opportunities in the two countries, how to stimulate exchange and new collaboration across-the-board, and create a shared platform for entering and expanding into the Sub-Saharan continent.
With this Summit, The European House – Ambrosetti has confirmed its ability to create content and ideas to take full advantage of the major opportunities offered by this market, developing platforms for relations between world leaders to be used to shape development partnerships, on the model of the Forum held at Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy, one of the most influential economic Forums in the world which, in 2014, celebrated its 40th year.
