Since 2019 the Executive Committee of the Council for the United States and Italy has entrusted The European House – Ambrosetti with the outsourcing of all its activities which – in normal situations – take the form of high-level workshops and round tables. At this historic moment we have kept the Council Community alive and united thanks to a rich program of webinars with distinguished speakers from the economy, business, and the institutions.

The Council for the United States and Italy is an independent, private, non-profit bilateral organization, created in 1983 by Gianni Agnelli and David Rockefeller, Honorary Chairmen during their lifetime, whose protagonists include leaders of the Italian, American and international ruling class, from Marco Tronchetti Provera, CEO of Pirelli & C., and current Honorary Chairman, to the late Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Fca, who chaired the Council until 2018. Domenico Siniscalco, Managing Director and Vice President at Morgan Stanley, is the current Chairman, and Gianni Riotta, Visiting Professor at Princeton University, is the Executive Vice Chairman.

The Council promotes relations between Italy and the United States and brings together industry and finance executives, economists, professionals, scientists, communications and media representatives, and Italian and American scholars, through high-level initiatives in Italy and the USA. The atmosphere of the meetings is direct and friendly. The invited speakers, political authorities, entrepreneurs, and professors engage with members in debates and personal conversations that allow them to be part of a unique and original network.
