The European House – Ambrosetti and StartupItalia! together to map the Italian Fintech ecosystem. A new initiative that involves startups active in the Fintech environment.
As part of the process dedicated to the digital revolution in financial services, a new initiative has been created in partnership with StartupItalia!, an initiative which invites all startups active in the Fintech environment to offer themselves as candidates to be included in the project roadmap. The startups taking part in the initiative will be included in the mapping of Fintech in Italy and the top 10 will have the opportunity to take part as guests in the “FinTechnology Forum”.
The FinTechnology Forum is a project conceived by The European House – Ambrosetti and Banca IFIS, with the contribution of Banca Finint and Microsoft, in an era in which Fintech promises to be a revolution ready to trigger technological innovation throughout the entire financial sector, including in Italy.
For this reason, The European House – Ambrosetti has decided to launch an initiative designed to be at the center of high-level thinking on this theme.
FinTech promises to be a revolution ready to trigger technological innovation throughout the financial sector, including in Italy. For this reason, The European House – Ambrosetti and Banca IFIS, in collaboration with Banca Finint and Microsoft, have decided to launch the “FinTechnology Forum”, an initiative designed to be at the center of high-level thinking on this theme.
A transformation of the entire financial sector for which the entire economic system, regulators and legislators, sector entrepreneurs and technology experts are being asked to consider.
The goals of the project regarding what has been defined “the disruption of the banking and financial system as a result of the use of innovative technological tools” are many: from in-depth study of the scenarios deriving from the union of finance and technology to exploration of what could be “The Italian Way to FinTech”, as well as promotion of the best practices emerging on a national and international level. And all with special attention to regulation and the Open Innovation ecosystem which is based on open relationships with market players, academia, centers of research and innovation and startups to develop the economy of tomorrow.
The initiative was kicked off at the first meeting in October 2017 with the theme of Digital Transformation. Today, on January 18th, the topic will be “Regulation in the world of FinTech” (5 pm, Microsoft House) and in February, the third encounter entitled “Open Innovation for building the future” will launch the Forum itself, planned for April 2018.
“As the #1 private think tank in Italy, the goal of The European House – Ambrosetti is to create a high-level opportunity for discussion around FinTech and the digital revolution in the banking and finance sector. We believe it is important to enable fruitful dialog among policy makers, the banking sector, technology providers and the innovation ecosystem to guarantee the future competitiveness within this scenario of on-going change,” said Valerio De Molli, Managing Partner and CEO of The European House – Ambrosetti.
“Innovating how banking is done is the real challenge that all system operators must be able to take on as rapidly as possible, a duty we have towards our customers and the market,” noted Giovanni Bossi, CEO of Banca IFIS. “This initiative allows us to share with players in Italy the opportunities and impacts on the market that the combination of Finance and Technology working in synergy can produce.”
