The results of the online survey of the 30th edition of the Workshop “The Outlook for Economy and Finance” (Friday, April 5 and Saturday, Aprile 6 2019) Villa d’Este, Cernobbio.
In the second session of the “Outlook for the Economy and Finance” Workshop, the theme of risk and opportunities in emerging countries was discussed.
The 200 businessmen taking part in the survey indicated Asia/Oceania as the emerging macro-area offering the most development opportunity for their companies. This geographical area was in first place at 44.8% of the preferences, significantly ahead of Eastern Europe (20.7%) and the Middle East (13.8%).
Among the countries considered most attractive for investment, 31.7% of the businessmen indicated China, a percentage significantly higher than two years ago when the sentiment of the businessmen was only 17.7%.
On the other hand, 60.5% of the respondents named Turkey as the least-attractive country, followed by South Africa (34.4%).
