(9:30 am – 11:30 am CET time)
In recent years, ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Brunei) have established themselves as a primary manufacturing hub and a catalyst of international investments.
The ASEAN countries, as a group, form the fifth largest economy in the world in terms of GDP and are one of the most dynamic regions. In addition, together with the continuous growth of its population, which currently exceeds 660 million people, the ASEAN region is the next candidate to become one of the main consumer markets globally.
In this context Thailand, for its geographical position and infrastructural endowment, and in the prospect of a unified ASEAN market, seems to be an ideal hub for the development of transactions that concern the entire Southeast Asian region. The economic stability of the country and the business opportunities it offers have led, over the years, to the entrance of important Italian companies operating in a wide range of sectors including the automotive, aerospace, luxury retail and Food&Beverage industry.
This webinar offered participants an occasion to learn more and discuss the investment opportunities for Italian company deriving from the growth of markets in Thailand and the other ASEAN countries. The European House - Ambrosetti and its strategic partner for the ASEAN area, Mahanakorn Partners Group (MPG), hosted high level representatives of Thailand's institutions in support of foreign investments and the concrete experiences of primary Italian companies operating in Thailand.
Among the speakers: Lorenzo Galanti (Italian Ambassador to Bangkok), Cherdchan Arunrat (Paris Office Director, Thailand Board of Investment), Fabrizio Ceccarelli (Senior Account Manager, SACE Hong Kong), Alessandro Menocci (CEO, Danieli Thailand), Alberto Strada (Managing Director, Ducati Motor Thailand), Luca Bernardinetti (Chairman and Managing Partner, Mahanakorn Partners Group) and Lorenzo Tavazzi (Partner and International Development Manager, The European House – Ambrosetti).
Alongside the webinar, it has been possible to book a free session of first consultation with the consultants of MPG and The European House – Ambrosetti via a reserved 15-minute videocall to take place on October 29, in the afternoon, or on October 30.
The participants in the webinar have also been the exclusive recipients of the publication “FDI Incentives & Doing Business in Thailand 2020” published by MPG.
