Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 10 am to 12 noon, at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a meeting was held entitled “Investing in Italy: Regulatory and Institutional Framework for Foreign Investment”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Economic Development and the Conference of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces of Italy.
The meeting was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, who outlined the Italian government’s perspective on the country’s attractiveness for foreign investment. He was followed by Valerio De Molli, Managing Partner and CEO of The European House – Ambrosetti, who spoke on the Global Attractiveness Index, a multi-dimensional analysis model on country attractiveness.
A number of representatives of government and institutions took part, speaking about their own experiences, as well as three major foreign companies who believe in and have invested in Italy: Nuovo Pignone – G.E. Oil & Gas, Linkem and Huawei.
Moderator of the event was Vincenzo De Luca, Director General for the Promotion of the Italian Economic System of MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation).
