Announcing Power2Innovate, the technological and social innovation project promoted by Cogipower, company leader in energy and environmental efficiency, in collaboration with The European House – Ambrosetti.
A project to bring together the best and the brightest in young talent dedicated to innovation from the Mezzogiorno, the south of Italy, with focus on three areas: energy, agri-business and ICT. This is Power2Innovate, the technological and social innovation project promoted by Cogipower, company leader in energy and environmental efficiency, in collaboration with The European House – Ambrosetti, which today is opening its Call for Ideas.
“Power2Innovate is a project that aims at providing support to corporate activity with focus on innovation in the fields of energy, agri-business and ICT,” explains Mimmo Costanzo, CEO of Cogipower. “We are looking for innovative projects with a strong social impact and which contribute to the development and civic and economic well-being of the regions of southern Italy. We believe in the strong economic and social value of entrepreneurial activity and this is why we want to support and provide incentive to it at a time in which the gap between the north and south is increasingly evident.”
The first Power2Innovate Call for Ideas is directed to aspiring individual or groups of young entrepreneurs under 35 years of age and primarily resident in southern Italy. The three best projects in the categories named above will be awarded 10,000 euros each as economic backing for their entrepreneurial initiative, the opportunity to receive mentoring and support from Cogipower managers in developing their projects and involvement in the 2016 “Leader del Futuro” program, a service of The European House-Ambrosetti dedicated to individuals under-35 that offers an on-going leadership development process comprised of encounters with top leaders of our day, exclusive meetings at the highest level—including the annual Forum in September—as well as training sessions.
The project Advisory Board is comprised of Mimmo Costanzo (CEO, Cogipower), Carlo Mammola (President, Cogipower), Valerio De Molli (Managing Partner, The European House – Ambrosetti), Davide Dattoli (CEO and Co-Founder, Talent Garden), Riccardo Luna (Digital Champion for Italy), Massimiliano Magrini (Co-Founder, United Ventures), Alessandro Valera (Director, Ashoka Italia) and Fernanda Roggero (journalist for Il Sole 24 Ore and Food&Wine and editor and manager of Food24).
The “Call for Ideas”, which closes in October, will gather projects from participants on the three themes indicated above. Following an initial selection phase, the nine best ideas will be presented to the Advisory Board and an audience of potential investors in Milan at the end of November 2015.
