SECOND EDITION FINTECH FORUM

The European House – Ambrosetti, in collaboration with Banca IFIS and other corporate partners, launched in 2017 the “Fintech Community” initiative, a platform which brings together key stakeholders and policy makers to promote the development of a business ecosystem that seizes the opportunities deriving from the digital revolution in financial services to create value for all those involved.

The European House – Ambrosetti, in collaboration with Banca IFIS and other corporate partners, launched in 2017 the “Fintech Community” initiative, a platform which brings together key stakeholders and policy makers to promote the development of a business ecosystem that seizes the opportunities deriving from the digital revolution in financial services to create value for all those involved.

The Fintech Forum, being held for the second time, completes the activity of the Fintech Community over 2018-2019. Previous initiatives of the community have included meetings on “Digital assets as drivers for innovation in banking processes” (January 16), “Artificial Intelligence and banks: opportunities and risks” (February 7) and “Current and future scenarios in the banking sector” (March 13).

The Fintech Forum 2019 took place on May 15 in the heart of Milan, the Italian Fintech “capital”, at the innovative showroom, “Spazio Gessi” (Via Alessandro Manzoni, 16/A).

Speakers that attended the Forum : Fabio Brambilla (Chairman, AssoFintech), Adriano De Matteis, (Managing Director, RGA Italy), Isabella Fontana (Capo Delegazione Italia presso FATF-GAFI, Dipartimento del Tesoro), Marta Ghiglioni (Managing Director, ItaliaFintech), Claudia Segre (President, Global Thinking Foundation), Carmine Auletta (Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer, InfoCert), Laura Quaroni (Responsabile Privacy & Security, Banca IFIS), Jacopo Anselmi (Chief Data Officer & Co-Founder, Credimi), Riccardo Galli (Co-Founder, Meritocracy), Angelo Khatib (Chief Executive Officer & Founder, Esplores).

The main themes  discussed have been non-bank financial intermediation and the role of Fintech as partner in traditional banking, and the relevance of cybersecurity and data privacy in the new financial ecosystem. A number of exemplary case studies of Fintech companies operating on the Italian market have been presented.
