Again in 2019, the Italian agrifood supply chain confirmed itself to be one of the driving sectors of the national economy thanks to the sector’s positive performance, which registered record levels in many of the main economic indicators. Despite this, even Food&Beverage was subject to unprecedented impact following the crisis connected with the Covid-19 health emergency.
The Food&Beverage Community, created in 2016, is a platform for reflecting on issues related to the agri-food sector, and its goal is that of promoting opportunities for discussion, meetings and exchanging of experiences among business leaders, experts and institutions.
Again in 2019, the Italian agrifood supply chain confirmed itself to be one of the driving sectors of the national economy thanks to the sector’s positive performance, which registered record levels in many of the main economic indicators: €200 billion in revenues for agrifood companies, €44.6 billion in exports and over 1.4 million people employed by 1.6 million companies. Overall, the sector activated €240 billion in food consumption nationally, offering a major contribution to the country’s growth.
