The event originates from the setting up, six years ago, of a strategy-oriented Advisory Board on the future of the communications, advertising and media sector in Italy, created by WPP in partnership with The European House – Ambrosetti.
Communications is a strategic asset for businesses and the entire country and economy, and is a sector characterized by a high level of value added and a major presence of young talent and women, factors which stimulate creativity and foster innovation. From this standpoint, the communications sector—in responding to changes in business, consumers, organizational structure and, above all, the needs of those investing in communications, advertising and publishing—stimulates, in turn, investment and new jobs in the country.
The attractiveness and image of Italy abroad and the ability to capitalize on its significant soft power, consumption trends and the North-South gap, the processes of internationalization and growth of companies, the value of foreign direct investments and effective and innovative communications measurement are some of the main themes examined by the Advisory Board which will be presented to representatives of government and institutions, investors and communications firms in order to return this sector to center stage and provide a strategic outlook through initiating open dialogue with the market and stakeholders.
