Our future depends on our ability to look at the world's contradictions and to fight them, making the most of our own possibilities. For this reason, we have established the non-profit association DOT - Do One Thing, which in 2013 obtained the official and institutional recognition of the Lombardy Region, and since 2022 is included in Italy's Register of the third sector, which allows us to operate nationally.

Through DOT we support and develop - in line with our core business and leveraging our distinctive skills - solidarity initiatives aimed at reducing today's great paradoxes, promoting education in the social context and the development of human capital through the dissemination of a managerial and corporate culture that puts the meritocracy, widespread entrepreneurship, and an innovation-driven mindset as key points for the growth of companies and people.

We have collaborated with Telethon, Banco Alimentare, Lilt, Ail, Save the Children, and Pangea Foundation, providing donations and activating awareness and support initiatives, such as corporate volunteering.

For example, by supporting the Italian Food Bank (Banco Alimentare) we contributed to the reception of Ukrainian refugees, and provided 90,000 meals to people in difficulty through the charitable structures of the territory. With a donation, we supported the purchase of some of the hospital equipment of the Local Health Unit of Romagna to replace those that had been destroyed during the flood of late May 2023. Thanks to the partnership with the Bee4 Association, we have built a programme supporting the re-integration into the labour market for the detained of Bollate prison.

DOT also involves TEHA's business communities, for example by supporting the Società Metereologica Italiana together with the Community Value of Water for Italy, for its commitment to the study and dissemination of the impact of climate change. The InnoTech Hub, our Area dedicated to innovation and technology, has instead provided two STEM scholarships to two brilliant students, to support their professional growth.

Focus: Women Empowerment

Arancha González Laya, Dean of the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and Spokeperson of the Women’s Empowerment Observatory

One of the issues that is particularly close to our hearts is that of women’s empowerment. In 2021, we contributed to the G20 Conference on Women’s Empowerment in Rome with a list of proposals for any country that focuses on equity and equal opportunities for women in the labour market.

Our commitment has led to the establishment of a Permanent Observatory on Women's Empowerment, which monitors throughout the year the performance of women’s empowerment initiatives in the G20 countries plus Spain (permanent guest of the G20). DOT supports initiatives addressed to women through awareness-raising activities, such as painting red benches against violence on women, and has joined the UNIPD 4 Afghanistan project of the University of Padua, funding a three-year scholarship for an Afghan student.

Corporate volunteering during the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: we painted red two benches to create awareness on this issue. The benches have a plaque with the phone number of the hotline available to victims of violence and stalking in Italy: 1522
