Agreement Between Teha Group and Althesys: Stronger Together for Energy, Environment, and Utilities

Althesys, a professional firm specializing in economic research and strategic consulting in the energy, environment, and utilities sectors, is joining TEHA Group.

This operation is part of the growth path of both Althesys—a benchmark in Italy for consulting and strategic and market analysis in the energy, environment, utility, and sustainability sectors through its think tanks and projects developed over more than twenty years of activity—and TEHA Group, the leading strategic consulting firm and think tank in Italy and the fourth in Europe, headquartered in Italy with offices in 18 countries worldwide. With 350 colleagues, TEHA Group produces over 400 Strategic Studies and 850 events annually, involving more than 3,500 experts and 46,000 entrepreneurs and managers.

With this operation, TEHA Group strengthens and expands its know-how in the energy, environment, and infrastructure sectors, thanks to the experience and team of Althesys, which joins the Group's subsidiaries.

Founded by Alessandro Marangoni in 2008, Althesys has developed strong distinctive expertise in the energy and environmental sectors over the years through its think tanks: IREX – The Renewable & Power Industry Think Tank, NET – New Electricity Trends, WAS – Waste Strategy, Shared Value Institute, and Top Utility, which complement TEHA Group’s initiatives and in-depth platforms.

The agreement enhances Althesys’s human and professional capital, which will maintain its identity and independence and will continue to be led by Alessandro Marangoni as CEO. He will also become a shareholder of TEHA Group. Lorenzo Tavazzi, Senior Partner and Head of the Scenarios and Strategy Area and Board Member of TEHA Group, will assume the role of President of Althesys

“TEHA is continuing its growth consolidation in Italy and internationally. We identified Althesys as the best opportunity to establish the largest consulting think tank in the energy, environment, and utilities sectors in Italy, sharing with Althesys the same professional quality, technical expertise, and growth vision,” commented Valerio De Molli, Managing Partner and CEO of The European House – Ambrosetti and TEHA Group. “This operation adds to the four acquisitions made by TEHA in the past two years (GDS Communication, Oltre Consulting, Harvard Business Review Italia, and Cybrain) and the establishment of TEHA Middle East in Riyadh. Many more investments will be announced in the coming months.”

“I am particularly pleased to bring Althesys into TEHA,” said Alessandro Marangoni, CEO of Althesys. “It is an extraordinary growth opportunity for our business and our team, crowning a twenty-year journey that has seen Althesys become a reference point in the energy, environment, and utilities sectors. This operation allows us to present ourselves to the market even more effectively, leveraging synergies and sharing TEHA’s values, while maintaining our distinctive features and know-how. We enthusiastically embark on this journey together, which will bring further value to all players and stakeholders in the sector.”
