Cernobbio approves EU’s conduct in a context of uncertainty

The Agenda for Europe was the main topic of this morning at the 48th Cernobbio Forum by The European House – Ambrosetti a Cernobbio.

More than 200 entrepreneurs and managers in the audience have a positive opinion on the coherence of the EU in the current times. On a scale from 1 to 9, from very negative to very positive, 26,2% evaluated it with a 6, 24,6% with a 7, and 16,9% with an 8. About 66% is convinced that the EU will be stronger in the upcoming years.

The evaluation of the EU’s economic and competitiveness policy was fairly positive as well. On a scale from 1 to 9, 31,5% gave it a 5, 25% a 6, and 16,3% a 7.

Regarding today’s post-pandemic economic context, half of the respondents believe that there will be de-globalization, while 32% responded that globalization will stabilise at the current level.
