TEHA Group leads the Italian delegation to the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference.
Learn more about BFAThe Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organization that aims to provide a high-level dialogue platform for governments, businesses, experts, and scholars to jointly discuss the most pressing issues in Asia and the world. Founded in 2000, it now has 28 member states, which are dedicated to promoting the common development of Asian countries through economic exchange, coordination, and cooperation within Asia and between Asia and the rest of the world.
The Annual Conference
Every spring, the Boao Forum for Asia holds its Annual Conference in Boao, Hainan Province, China, attended by between 10 and 15 heads of State each year to reflect, debate, and take action on the most pressing issues facing Asia, emerging markets, and the world at large. The Conference takes place over four days, with more than 80 events including an opening plenary session, thematic roundtables, bilateral dialogues between CEOs, VIP breakfasts, and numerous networking opportunities. More than 2,000 government leaders, corporate CEOs, and opinion leaders from academia participate annually, with approximately 1,000 journalists from around 200 publications covering the event.
The collaboration between TEHA and BFA
Since 2015, TEHA has been the official partner in Italy of the Boao Forum for Asia, a collaboration that has yielded significant results.
1. Every year, TEHA organizes the Italian delegation of entrepreneurs and institutional leaders who participate in the Annual Conference in Hainan, providing delegates with support in navigating the sessions and facilitating networking opportunities. TEHA has brought the largest European delegation ever to the BFA.
The list of Italian institutional leaders present include: Enrico Giovannini (former Minister of Infrastructure and Transport), Enrico Letta (former Prime Minister), Romano Prodi (former Prime Minister and President of the European Commission), Giovanni Tria (former Minister of Economy and Finance), and Ignazio Visco (former Governor of the Bank of Italy).
2. The joint organization of the “Asia-Europe Leaders' Cooperation Dialogue” (Rome 2018; Chongqing 2019), aimed at promoting cooperation, building trust, and launching concrete projects between European and Asian companies.
3.Launch, in China, of the TEHA Club China Chapter with the support of the BFA, which since 2022 has been offering private and exclusive meetings between Chinese and Italian companies to promote exchange and economic cooperation between the two countries.
