A number of the leading personalities at the 43rd Villa d’Este Forum, “Intelligence on the World, Europe and Italy”, will outline future geopolitical and economic trends.

It will be an opportunity to gather intelligence on the international standing and update perspectives on future challenges and opportunities for business.

Special attention will be focused on the following themes:

  • Eurozone: Europe’s future more than a year after Brexit.
  • Jobs of the future: new organizations and new skills in the digital enterprise.


Niall Ferguson
Senior Fellow at the Center for European Studies of the Harvard University and Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution of the Stanford University, he was included in Time magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People. Currently he is also a Visiting Professor at the Tsinghua University in Beijing and Distinguished Scholar at the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation at the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. He is a member of the Board of the American Academy in Berlin and of the New York Historical Society. His many prizes and awards include the “Benjamin Franklin Prize for Public Service” (2010) and the “Ludwig Erhard Prize for Economic Journalism” (2013). He writes a weekly column for the Sunday Times and the Boston Globe.
