High Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations

The High-Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations is the reference event in the ASEAN Region for strengthening economic and strategic ties between the Association of South East Asian Nations' countries and Italy.

The past editions took us to Jakarta (2017), Singapore (2018), Hanoi (2019), Kuala Lumpur (2022), Bangkok (2023), and Manila (2024) and gathered more than 4,000 Chairmen and CEOs of companies, Ministers and Institutional leaders from ASEAN Countries and Italy.

The 9th edition took place at the Binh Duong Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) in Binh Duong, province of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on November 12-13-14, 2025. Top officials from the Italian and Vietnamese governments, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the Asian Development Bank have attended the event.

The initiative was promoted by TEHA Group and was supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. For the 2025 edition, the Government of Vietnam, through Ho Chi Minh City Province and Becamex Group, a leading Vietnamese conglomerate in industrial and urban real estate development, was the co-organizer of the event, with the support of the Italian Embassy in Vietnam and the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

Key numbers of the 2025 edition: 

• More than 500 participants
• 45 speakers
• 9 countries represented
• 2 Position Paper presented: “Climate change and climate finance in Vietnam: risks, challenges and opportunities” and “Competitiveness of ASEAN Countries: the state-of-the-art as measured by The European House ‒ Ambrosetti “Global Attractiveness Index 2025”.

The Dialogue program included:

November 12: A closed-door Roundtable organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA). The meeting involved over 20 representatives from major Italian companies to explore economic and commercial opportunities.

November 13: The following day began with a closed-door meeting between representatives of Italian institutions, the Italian Embassy in Vietnam, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and Italian companies. This was followed by a day of thematic plenary sessions, featuring speakers from both the ASEAN region and Italy.

November 14: The event concluded with a Site Visit to the New Generation Industrial Park, featuring the Innovation Ecosystem of the Becamex Group—one of the most advanced entities in Vietnam.

Participation at the High Level Dialogue is invitation only and is exclusively reserved to Chairmen and CEOs of companies and Institution Leaders.
