The European House – Ambrosetti announces the first High Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations, which aims at creating an exclusive platform in order to influence economic relations between ASEAN Countries and Italy, where the leaders of these Nations can meet and learn about the strategic opportunities of the two regions, interact on a concerted basis among peer visionary business leaders and build profitable political and economic partnerships.
It is an exclusive, restricted gathering, where access is by invitation only, that brings together about 200 preeminent Italian and ASEAN political and business leaders in a two-day meeting, with the objective of strengthening their strategic and business relationship and providing them with close interaction with senior decision makers and government officials.
The major outcome for the participants is to get: knowledge, personal feeling, and trust.
The High Level Dialogue is organized in collaboration with Associazione Italia-ASEAN, chaired by former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta, and will take place along with the Official Institutional Mission of the Italian Minister of Economic Development, Carlo Calenda. The project is endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Confindustria (General Confederation of Italian Industry).
It will be the occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) that was created in 1967.
The High Level Dialogue has the long-lasting perspective to become an annual event able to provide value-added content and a networking moment for the Italian and ASEAN business and political community.
The High Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations will address the following topics:
- Macroeconomic and Geopolitical Outlook of Italy and ASEAN Countries
- Technologies for the Future: aerospace, security, green economy
- Competencies for Development: infrastructures, energy, machinery and capital goods, agro-industry
- Tools for Economic Cooperation and Development: banks and financial institutions, trade agreements, education and training systems.
